FESTIVAL SANTO MITO
Festival Santo Mito is a fictional festival imagined as taking place during Holy Week in Colombia. This project presents a series of satirical posters created for the event, highlighting the surreal and humorous nature of the superstitions that have become widespread in Colombian popular culture.
In a country where Catholicism is deeply rooted, these myths surrounding religious celebrations reveal a transformation of traditional liturgy into something far more mythical. The posters explore how faith is often reinterpreted to address both spiritual and social realities—blurring the lines between doctrine, folklore, and everyday life.
Each poster invites viewers to a fictional ceremony or ritual, playfully imagining the performance of superstitions typically forbidden during these sacred days.
